Kubinashi is a Japanese word meaning ‘Headless'. Going into a new artistic process, collaboration or relationship requires the courage and experience of the entire body, free from the limitations and fear the thinking mind imposes. What do we reveal to each other and the audience? What do we keep hidden?

We have been inspired by headless sculptures from Ancient European and Asian Cultures; whether they were created headless or become so as a consequence of time. We are curious how people have used statues throughout history to project their ideals, faiths, and fantasies. How can our organic moving bodies pay tribute to immortal concrete bodies?

"Tsukuru must have fallen asleep again, but he woke up once more in a dream. Strictly speaking, it might not be a dream. It was reality, where at a special time and place - imagination had been set free.“
